Architecture of Rotterdam

Rotterdam was almost completely destroyed during WWII. Therefore, its architecture is unlike anywhere else in the Netherlands. While most cities in the Netherlands are void of sky-scrapers, Rotterdam boasts an array of contemporary architecture that is a visual treat.

  1. Great photos! I love how different the architecture is in Rotterdam compared to the rest of the country. Did you get to go inside the cube house? Completely not what I expected!

  2. I wrote a whole post about Rotterdam because I live there for one year already. It’s true that it’s very modern but I enjoy it a lot! There’re also some hidden parts like Delfshaven where you can find cute brick houses.
